When I ordered this splint, I really didn't expect it to work very well since it is much less confining than others I have tried. I broke my wrist and it didn't heal right, so I have pain and weakness in it now. I also was diagnosed with carpal tunnel so my doctor said I needed to sleep with a wrist brace. First I got the one that laces up, but that was very uncomfortable to sleep in. When I got this one I decided to give it a try even though I didn't expect it to help. After a week of sleeping in it, I could tell the difference. It is very comfortable, and I also use it for driving because my wrist hurts after a couple of hours on the road. This is an excellent product that I highly recommend. I'm in southern Alabama and it is already above 90 degrees in March, so the less covering the better.

I also had wrist/hand/arm pain after my child was born. My mom has carpal tunnel and I'm pretty sure I've got it too. I am a petite female and this worked better than any female-specific wrist support I tried. I've purchased at least 4 brands, and used only this one. Highly recommend!

The black may be ugly, but you don't want a lighter color as these things get dirty.

supposed to be able to be used on either hand, but there is no cutout for the thumb when worn of the left hand. This is the second wrist brace I've bought that supposed to be reversible with the same issue. When worn on the left hand, it rubs on the soft flesh between the index finger and the thumb, making it uncomfort…

I would recommend this product to anyone with carpal tunnel syndrome or any type of nerve/circulatory condition in which sleep is interrupted by painful and tingling hands and arms. The cushioning in the palm of the hand makes all the difference in the world. It is not so rigid as to be as painful as some of my CTS braces and allows for movement. The fact that they can be work on either hand is a plus; I ordered two as I have severe problems with both hands.

The only drawback that I foresee is in the hot southern summers, this will be uncomfortable to wear because of its construction. But I would say if you experience any problems with numbness, pain, tingling in your hands and arms when you sleep this is a definite must.

was told that I have De Quervain's tenosynovitis as a result of overzealous one-handed leaf blowing this fall. So I purchased thumb support glove from my local Walmart. It is a bit cheaper, around $13.99. Even with 6% tax, it's still cheaper than Amazon and you don't have to wait for delivery.

This thumb support glove is just about perfect. It is black (for a nice cool look ;) ) and doesn't show dirt (I do wash it!). It has 3 velcro straps, one that straps in the thumb between the knuckle and joint. one near the bottom of my palm and one around the wrist. It as two long, very stiff support piece (probably metal) sown in. One support runs down the corner backside of the thumb, the other on the palmside. Both go all the way to the wrist. If I keep my thumb strapped in, it will keep the thumb-side of my hand completely immobilized. This is important for me as my pain isn't at the base of the thumb but starting at the wrist and travels a little up the forearm. My other thumb support glove only immobilize the thumb but do nothing for my wrist. I can feel intense pain if I rock hand from side to side.

I wear the glove 24-7 if I can. Whenever I wear my thumb "only" support glove sleeping, I wake up in terrible pain. With this glove, zero pain. It is comfortable and warm (bonus in winter!). I can do almost anything in it with some minor exceptions. Typing on a keyboard takes a bit of getting used but works. Like another reviewer said, you just have to move your thumb differently to press the space bar.

I gave this 5 stars but there is ONE problem with the glove. The bottom velcro strap at the wrist seems to be slightly different from the other two. Once it's been velcroed, it takes the strength of Hercules to un-velro it

Pros:

- The unused thumb hole is a little unsightly
- Very tight if worn for extended periods
- Splint in palm makes some tasks difficult
- No illustrated user guide, I used the Amazon photo instead

I damaged my right wrist loading large (14" Lg x 12-24" Dia) log blocks into my pickup. Since I'd just purchased a new chainsaw, I didn't want to stop and I took a fly on this wrist brace. I've now done two loads of blocks with the brace and I'm amazed, no additional pain. I expect in a few weeks all the pain will be gone.

Diagnosed with carpal tunnel and advised to do several things, one of which was getting a wrist support for my right hand. I did a lot of research before making the purchase and decided to try this product. It is exactly what I wanted. Something that did the job, day and night, of supporting my wrist at work (lots of typing) and that I could actually wear easily with an outfit that looked as "unnoticeable" as possible and was not "bulky". I got it in black and have found it is very easy to wear, is no more noticeable than a dark "glove", is easy to take on and off and to wear under jackets, etc... (not bulky. I found it is relatively small compared to other similar products so it is not awkward on the wrist. It is somewhat flexible, but keeps my wrist stable, and the adjustable velcro straps are easy to adjust for comfort so it's not too tight. Your skin can breathe well in it too. It is also very comfortable at night and light weight. I highly recommend this product.
